Due to the permanent closure of the NAWS Theater effective 1 October 2005, the IWVCA has had to select a new venue for the 2005-06 concert season.
After much consideration and deliberations, the Board of Directors has selected the Burroughs Parker Performing Arts Center (PPAC) at Burroughs High School as the best fit for our concerts and our membership.
The PPAC will hold 609 persons comfortably, has good acoustics, sound and lighting systems, and a good stage for all types of concerts and stage productions such as ballets and operettas as well as orchestras, quartets, and single performers. The seating arrangement should provide all attendees with excellent views of the performances and the audio should be great. The PPAC is also well-situated for easy access by all in the Indian Wells Valley and surrounding areas.
Renewing members will be given first opportunity to select their seats in the PPAC. After that, in mid- to late-September 2005, new members will be given the opportunity to select their seats. The first concert has had to be moved up to 27 October 2005, and the tickets will be mailed out to all members about 10 days before that.
The Board of Directors hope that the PPAC will prove to be pleasing to concert goers in general. Every efforts is being made to make your concert-going experience the best it can be.
